Like a lot of folks out there, I occasionally have trouble sleeping. It used to be more of a problem, but I've managed, over the years, to whittle it town to about one sleep-deprived night per month. But it can flare back up in more stressful times, good or bad.
I'm currently on day two. Couldn't get down Sunday night or last night. Part of it I think was the elation of getting that award at my gig. Already fired up from the gig itself, so that just added fuel to the fire.. And all the wonderful responses I got on Facebook.
This is currently a time of life where there are multiple situations to handle. Getting Dentures in the next months, which is going to be an adventure. Addressing a few health issues. which means at least some more appointments. And helping my brother with a few of his problems.
Plus trying to hang in there as a musician. That's enough on anybody's plate. So sleep will return. Your body just kinda gives out anyway at a certain point, and gets the sleep it needs. And sooner or later, I'll have my plate at least partially cleared off.
Growing up, my folks would instill certain virtues in my brother and me, often at the dinner table, such as encouraging us to be better citizens at the table, being members of the Clean Plate Club--the highest possible honor.. With all the shit going on at the moment, around the world as well as in my own puny existence, I'd love to be a member of that club again.
That's all I've got for the moment. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Much love! More later.
