Election Day

Aaand it's Election Day! I just cast my Ballot, for better or worse. Whether my vote actually makes a difference or is just a symbolic act, it's over and done with.

So now what's to do is just sit back and watch the results, the Climb to 270. Or sit back and not watch the results. Kinda going with that latter choice

Domestic news.  Yesterday was a meeting at one of Springfield Clinic's many offices. To my great relief, I don't have Cancer. But I do have a new Oncologist. Another specialist to add to the list. Welcome to Geezerhood..

Funny that out of all the different Doctors I go to see, my Dentist is the only American. My new Oncologist is from India, my Dermatologist is from The Phillipines, my Primary Care Physician is from South America and my Opthalmologist is from Taiwan.

Another feature of Geezerhood is having more of your friends checking out of the game. RIP Lanny Montgomery. RIP Michael Darling. There are stories aplenty I could tell about both these guys(especially MD), but now's probably not the time. Suffice it to say they were both friends of mine.

Music News. I just wrote a new tune, just last night! It's called Crainiology, and was a request by one of my subscribers on my YouTube page. So it will go up there before too long. It's written over Rhythm Changes, as requested, in the spirit of Charlie Parker's various ology tunes: Ornithology and Anthropology. Was thinking there was another tune, but i guess not..

In other news, I've got a collection of tunes to put out in album form, just shy of the title and cover But the music is all ready to go. I hope to get going on a new project of some kind in the weeks and months ahead.

Also had a nice gig this past Friday at Boone's. Ben Taylor, Buddy Rogers and myself. These are almost always social encounters, and often with folks I haven't seen in awhile. Reunions. Anymore, I really prefer to just do gigs where people are there to see you, as opposed to the affairs where you're just there to fill the holes in people's conversations. So my live performances may be fewer and further between, but they're always fun!.

So there you go. All my news that's fit to print. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Much love. More later.
