Greetings, whoever-reads-this! It's a bright sunny day here in Paradise Adjacent. Second Wednesday of the month. Everything happened that was supposed to happen on this fine day. I must admit, the news has got me spooked. It's ramped up my paranoia. I checked in at just after midnight- talk about paranoid-, and almost panicked, but it was there this morning.
I'm sure I'm not the only person to feel relief today. So I'm also glad for all my fellow 2nd Wednesday'ers, and wish the same for those 3rd and 4th Wednesday'ers out there. Lots and lots of people, many of them in much worse shape than me.
That's actually kind of an awkward term. Wednesday'er. Well, awkward times sometimes call for awkward measures. Maybe I'll come up with a better one. Hope I won't have to..
Music news. Still at it. Every day, for the most part, with the scales and arpeggios at different metronome settings. And some time spent playing tunes. My digital camera is in good shape, with a fresh battery, so I'm able to record as much as I want. Still sharing my better efforts to the YouTube page. 599 subscribers at the moment. Waiting for another milestone to happen.
This is where to go to listen to some of my recordings. There are solo projects and group projects, and a fairly wide array of styles, from straight-ahead jazz to modern classical music. When you've been at this as long as I have, you probably cover some stylistic territory.
I seem to be either crazy prolific or dry as a bone as far as my output. I guess they both serve a purpose. Right now I'm in a dry period, though I'm still practicing and doing a fair amount of listening. My Muse shows up when she feels like it…
Anyway! It's a beautiful day out there. At least for the time being. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading! Much love to you. More later from me. PS today's pic was taken sometime in 1985, somewhere in the Western half of the country. I'm pretty sure I got the hat in Texas.
