As far as up-to-the-minute news, I've gotten a little time in on the recording side of the room today. Some bass, drum, and keyboard tracks for two new selections. I should probably be doing more actual compositions on here, but the songs "made from scratch" are their own kind of fun. I guess they're the musical equivalent of fast food: tasty(let's hope!)but not a lot of nutritional value. Actual compositions, like actual meals, involve much more preparation. Note to self: more full-course meals.
These little two and three minute wonders are really just vehicles for the guitar, more performances than songs. The challenge is more in the guitar playing. That's what I concentrate on the most with these little quasi-tunes. They're a lot of fun for me to do, and hopefully fun for you to listen to.
