Sunday

Good morning! It's 9:09 and 26 degrees in this little corner of the world.

A crazy night's sleep last night. Woke up at 3:40 in a WTF moment, then abruptly back to dreamland for the rest of the night. I actually look forward to the nighttime theatre, even though I hardly ever remember anything-- unless it's  disturbing in some way. Since nothing is registering this morning, I must've been having a pretty good time of things..

Music news. My next trip out of the house is on the 20th. That's a week from this coming Thursday. 6 to 9 at the 3sixteen Wine Bar in Chatham. José Gobbo and myself. We're getting together again tomorrow to do some more playing. This will be our third session. The first two were a lot of fun, and I'm figuring this one will follow suit.

After that, I have nothing on the books until May 6th. Back at Boone's, this time with a trio. This is a gig that was supposed to happen in May of 2020 at Robbie's. Better late than never, eh?. We may even get something between now and then, but I'm hoping to bypass February(see other posts, under Cold Weather Wuss).

February is traditionally the month that really kicks our ass. The shortest month of the year is also the coldest month of the year- which makes it seem like the longest month of the year.. "Feels like' 31 days. Or even 32...And I realize that my scrupulous avoidance of this dreadful month might just land me something on the coldest day February can come up with. And under the worst conditions. Murphy's Law, and all that..

So I'm off and running as far as this new year. In other music news, I've got a new album that 's going to release on the 16th. It's called Sonorities, and is a sort of eclectic smooth/fusion/whatever thing with a variety of guitar tones. Plenty of solos on both guitar and keys, and I also play bass on a couple of the selections.

Okay. That should do ér for now. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. I do appreciate it! Happy Sunday to you. For now, this boy's outa here. More later.
