Tepid Tuesday

Good morning! 9:29 and 19 degrees on this Winter Tuesday. At least it's a nice sunny Winter Tuesday, as Winter Tuesdays go. I've been up about half an hour. Swilling that first cup of Morning Joe, and bringing the world into focus.

Music news. Another good session with José Gobbo yesterday. This time I brought my digital camera, which gave us one tune before the battery ran low. José taped much of yesterday's sessions as well as the last one we did, and told me we had some pretty good material in there. The blues I was able to capture was our first tune of the day  was INSANE. Absolutely frickin' bonkers.

So I'm getting to know this new person and this new musician a little bit at a time. All good, We've got that gig coming up next week, and I know we'll do just fine.

Thursday, January 20, from 6 to 9, at the 3sixteen Wine Bar in Chatham.

In other music news, my album Sonorities releases this coming Sunday. Lots of guitar and keyboard work, and I even play bass on 3 of the selections. It'll be available in all the usual places, plus up on YouTube for streaming. And you can hear it from the My Wares page here on my site. I usually include a free download or two.

And I've got another one ready to go, right behind it. This one is called St Vitus's Dance Card, and is also on the My Wares page. Where Sonorities is nice and smooth, this one is more rude and crude. I have yet to put it up on CD Baby(and pay my $89 to do it), but soon. I'll probably set it to release in February.

Hoping to get into another creative binge this Winter. I've been working more on my guitar playing these days. But I'm sure I'll get a wild hair of some kind this Winter and churn out some more sounds. Still catching up to myself anyway..

Okay. That's all I've got for you for now. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Tuesday to you! This boy's outa here. More later. PS Today's pic goes back to 1994 or so. I played in the Frank Trompeter Quintet, and this was an extra shot from a photo session we had.
