Toozday

Good morning! Just after nine on this overcast Tuesday. And here comes Mr Sun. So much for my prognostications. Maybe we'll get just a little more of that Indian Summer before we begin our final descent. Back to overcast. Well it's still another day with its challenges and promises. Wondering if the Four Seasons Landscaping Company in Philadelphia got any more business from their 'media coverage'. Or maybe the Adult Book Store next door....

Music news. The biggest headline is still my new CD. Near-Miracle on 33rd Street. All jazz, all original. From that link, you can listen to each cut in its entirety- and if you want to "take things to the next level", as it were, you can purchase individual cuts or the whole pizza pie. It'll be awhile before I get any results back as far as streams. From this point, it's really out of my hands. People are going to like what they like for their own reasons. Always interesting seeing what they come up with. So far on Spotify, they seem to like the song One Pecan, and another one called Star Tush. For now, the people have spoken.

Debating whether to release one more recording before the end of the year. I've got one collection of things, with the working title of Twelve Twisted Tales of 2020. Some fairly bizarre but entertaining stuff , some of which directly pertains to our current situation. There is a song called Orange Mussolini, for instance. Wonder if there'll be as many songs about him as there are books...

Still plugging away at the guitar, and trying to get regular with the practicing. As well as the scales and arpeggios and so forth, I've been working on my solo guitar playing. It's not my forte, but I enjoy doing it. Made a solo guitar album back in 2006, which ended up being my best seller- like I said before, you never know what people are going to glom onto or just ignore. So for the longest time, I've been entertaining thoughts of another such album. As Jed Clampett might've put it, "I'm fixin' to commence to get started on that"..

Okay. That's all my news fit to print for the moment. This is a day that seems to be trying its damnedest to be sunny. Might take a cue from that myself. Anyway, thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Tuesday to you! For now, ich bin outa here. More later.

PS Today's pic was taken at Bourbon Street, 11th & South Grand. The Dan Rivero Trio. Dan, Wayne and me. Those were fun years.
