Good morning! And what a glorious morning it is- if you're a duck! For the rest of us bipeds, it's a a shitty, rainy day. Oh yeah, it's 9:47 and 57 degrees. Gotta get that in there, or it doesn't feel right.
They're probably having a ball down at the unemployment office, my old place of employ. Rainy days tend to amplify the despair people are already experiencing. Conversely, a bright sunny day takes off some of that edge. Glad there are still people doing that job , because it is needed.
The closest I come to that office these days is Joe Rogers Chili Parlor just up the street. About once a month I have lunch there with a friend who also used to work in the office. Suffered alongside me, helping many a disgruntled claimant. We sometimes talk about going down there and helping with a few unemployment claims. A hearty laugh usually follows..
Music news. Me loving this new guitar. Can't seem to keep my hands off her. I've even been getting in another practice session at the very end of my day- between 11:30 and midnight. That's a first for me.
I should say here that I don't ordinarily name my instruments. I'll leave that to BB King and a few others. Though my archtop, referred to by some as my huge guitar, quickly became Big Mama.
This new guitar is much smaller, more the size of a Telecaster. But it has a big sound. P90 pickups, same as my other Epiphone guitar. And the double-cutaway makes it easier to get up the neck. Sometimes dynamite comes in small packages..
I'll probably be putting something new up on my YouTube page. I've got a few to choose from, all with this new guitar. And of course I'll share it on Facebook. For now, this is my news.
