Boom Boom Room

Greetings, whoever-reads-this! A dismal rainy day outside, trying to keep it from being dismal inside. Thanks to some work done on my roof earlier in the year, it's at least no longer rainy inside. Just gotta work on the dismal part..

Music News. I've gotta be out of my friggin' mind. Another album, due to release on the 29th. It's more fusion stuff, but does have a few new features. There's a tune I play bass on, which even features a bass solo. Also, there are a few electronic interlude-type pieces.

The cover photo was taken at Lime Street Cafe, way back when I used to play there. It's a nice, surreal pic, taken by James Isley. I don't know if he intended the surrealism, but it's sure there.

I'm hoping to do more home recording in the months ahead. Maybe even drag out the 5-string bass and lay down a few tracks. As I've said before in here, I like being my own bass player. At the very least, I should have some more tracks to put on the Music page here on the site.

As far as the guitar, I'm still on it. Probably should be practicing right now, rather than writing this drivel. One thing I've used over the years is a couple of DVDs with playalongs on them. Courtesy of Bill Schlipf. Unfortunately, they're both getting some hum. I guess everything reaches that age.. Thanks again though, Bill, for your generosity.

The YouTube page is doing fine. My supply of playalong material has diminished, but still trying to have a post every couple of days. Getting a few more subscribers lately. Great hearing from some of them. It helps this old guy keep going.

So that's what I've got for now in the way of news. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Adios for now.  PS Today's tune, originally titled Blue Dream, is my new album's title track.
