Good morning, whoever-reads-this! Today's pic is an old one, of two former pets. Lester the dog and Cindy the cat. Lester has been gone since 2012, and Cindy has been gone just under a week. I always liked this picture of them. Lester, as it turned out, was more comfortable with cats than with other dogs.
I love dogs, but am really a cat person at heart. A woman I was seeing thought I needed a dog, so we got me one. Gave it my best shot, both with her and with him. One highly amusing fact about dogs is that when meeting another dog, they try to hump each other. It's actually a dominance thing, but is funny as hell to watch..
Lester was bigger than her dog, so he was able to assert himself as Number One Dog. . My brother's dog, however, was a big Lab, twice Lester's size, and pinned him every time. When we got home, he gave me a look as if to say, “Don't put me through that again!”
Fair enough. So now, as of 3 days ago, I have two new cats. They're brother and sister, both jet-black with big luminous green eyes. Dmitri and Svetlana. I'm as new to them as they are to me. So they hide out for hours at a time- which has been disconcerting. But the re-appearances are getting better. Last night I had both of them on my lap for awhile in there. They're very affectionate, just skittish. We'll be fine…
Music news. Getting back to the daily grind as far as practicing and playing. Nothing on the books just yet, but still posting to my YouTube page. I still get out and play, just not as often. So In lieu of that, I try to keep the page well-stocked, so there's always something new to share. Actually picked up 4 new subscribers!

I also have another solo guitar album kind of in the works. This year has just thrown a lot of shit at me, between the Atypical Cells on the top of my head and the leaky roof on top of my house--and some Dental issues.. But I've got the tunes pretty much mapped out. Just a question of recording them.
Also wanting to play more trio stuff. I don't have a regular group, but I have people I can call. If I ever get a group going, I'll probably get out and play more. So for now, it's kinda here and there. At least I'm out there a little bit..
