Resurrection

Good morning! It's bright and surly here, at 8:44 and 68 degrees. Well maybe not bright..

Music/domestic news. I had a piece of musical equipment die on me this past Sunday. My digital recording unit.  Seemingly out of the blue, I lost the sound. That kinda blows your day.

So yesterday I was bound and determined to get things working. Made three or four phone calls, to various music stores and electronics companies. No soap.

Then I figured I'd just try to unclog the phone jack and see what happened there. Took me three tries to get the stuff I needed. If anybody's having a similar problem with their electronics, Ace Hardware on Walnut and Jefferson has this stuff right up front.

And they're very nice to deal with. To paraphrase Sun Ra, Ace is the place!

I wasn't even sure this stuff was going to work. It took several applications, but the sound came back a little bit at a time. Eventually it was back loud and clear. And I even tested it this morning. Still doing fine!

At least it got me out of the house for awhile. I probably talked to more people on Monday than I do in a week. Make that a couple weeks..

Pretty much all my recent efforts are up on the Music page of my site. And there's even a free download or two in there. And there's a brand new post on YouTube. Still moving forward..

For today's picture, I was channeling Ernest P. Worrell. The actor who created him was asked in an interview how success had affected his life. "If i'm at the gas station or the supermarket or anyplace else, it's "hey Vern, know what I mean? "But when I go to the Bank, it's "good morning, Mr Varney. How can we help you? "

Anyway. That's all I've got for you for now. Thanks as ever for stopping in and wading through all this. I do appreciate it! Happy Tuesday to you. Ich bin outa here. More later.

PS today's tune is called A Walk Through Astral Candyland. It's on an album of mine called Garden of Sonic Delights- which is electronic stuff with a kind of punk jazz undercurrent.
