Samstag

I just checked it, and I was right! It certainly doesn't happen every time out. But in this instance, I was correctamundo. Samstag is German Saturday. My cat Svetlana has just leapt up here in hopes of blocking the monitor. So far it's not working for her.

Well it worked for a minute. She is trying, gotta give her that. Just like a little kid, determined to put themselves between you and whatever you were doing. I can always tell when I'm in for one of these times when she jumps up here with attitude. We're still having our turf war, but I've got plenty of monitor that's viewable around where she's got her little carcass planted.

Music News. Well I guess with the cold weather approaching, I'm getting myself into Hibernation Mode. Just got started on another home recording project, the results of which I should have out in download form before the end of the year.

The style could possibly be described as Acid Jazz. 4 guitar selections and 6 electronic pieces, all in all. Both the guitar and electronic pieces have some unusual sides to them. Should make for a nice listen.

All the music is already written. Just some stuff in the archives I stumbled onto while trying to clean the damn place up. So Step One is out of the way. Now I just have to figure out what goes where, and then see how it all sounds. This is a fairly exacting process, getting everything to flow just so.

So I should have this project out there well before the end of the year. This will make 2 for 2023, the slowest year for recordings I've had in awhile. I had some crazy productivity in 2020 and 2021, the COVID years. It's started to taper off as life has re-emerged. This current year has been particularly eventful, with health and domestic and family stuff to manage.

No title as yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something. And that's all the news I've got that's fit to print. My feline kept bugging me as far as getting in front of the monitor, so I finally removed her ass- and maybe a bit forcibly because she hid under the living room couch for several hours. She's back up here in the Music Lab with me, asleep in the chair next to me. Still pissed I think, but at least somewhat thawed out. Life goes on.

Thanks as ever for stopping in and wading through all this. Happy Saturday to you! For now, I'm outa this place. More later. PS This is an older picture of Svetlana, not long after I got her and her brother Dmitri. I got rid of that silly collar..
