Good morning! It's 8:28 and 39 degrees at the moment. I'm a bit crispy today. It took awhile to come down from last night's gig and I woke up earlier than I'd have liked. Some very eventful dreams though, which I'm half-remembering. And I'm in good spirits-- my hangover from last night..
So as crispy days go, this is one of the better ones. Currently futzing with my new phone. I finally got around to upgrading from a flip-top to a more full-function model. Just got it yesterday. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I got it running. Not sure if I'm online with it, but I've got the basic stuff.
Music news. One more date on the books for now. Friday, May 6th, at Boone's. 5:30-7:30. That will be trio: Rob Killam, Dave Pruitt and yours truly.
At this point in the game, I'm enjoying the hell out of being retired. The itch to make music is still as strong as ever, but the gigs take more out of me. After an evening of musicmaking and socializing, I'm pretty much spent. I'm not a natural extrovert--more like an ambivert--so I get overloaded after awhile and have to recharge my introvert batteries.
That's what I'm doing today. Airing out. I still have my nerd stuff to do: Lumosity and Wordle. But otherwise I plan to wallow in solitude, as my Dad would've put it. For all his apparent joviality, he wasn't a natural extrovert either.
Here is where a majority of my albums are. At least for streaming. I always encourage whoever reads this to stop in and have a look around. Hey, somebody's gotta do it..
Not much more to share. A great time playing last night. The duo sessions get more interactive as we go. I think the most fun I had was us taking the music to strange new places. More to come..
