Good morning! 8:25 and 70 degrees are our current stats. Enjoying a brief hibernation both today and tomorrow. The fireworks started last night. I feel sorry for my neighbors, with 5 small dogs who bark like crazy at the slightest provocation. Cats don't care about this stuff. They sleep right through it. The man, the musician. Still working on that next rehearsal with Rob and Dave. We were waiting for the heat wave to be over, but it looks like we've got a week of rain ahead. This is moving at about the same rate of speed as the national news. But Dave and I get in some pretty good conversations..
I've been learning a few new tunes lately, and am looking forward to playing them with the trio. Alone Together, Along Came Betty and a few others. If we can just get in that next rehearsal, I think we'll go from there. All I can say is that it's in the works...
I've also just embarked on what may well be another recording project. Working on a new tune, and have a few other ideas forming in my head . My Muse is circling the Airport, getting ready to land..
At the moment, I have 47 albums. 2020 and 2021 were crazy prolific years, galvanized by the craziness going on all around the world with COVID. I thought things might slow back down this year, but it looks like another nutty year--just different nuttiness.
Music is actually my refuge. Like retirement, this is something I wish for everybody. Maybe not music per se, but a creative outlet. Along with a sense of humor, this has saved my ass in this life..
