Thursday

Good morning! Just shy of ten on this rainy Thursday. Edgar Allan Poe, who lived for a time in the Fells Point area of Baltimore, said of it, "It's always Thursday and it's always raining". I went to school in Baltimore, and they definitely have a Monsoon Season..

Music news. Back-to-back gigs at Boone's. I'm there tomorrow with Ocean State, and a week from tomorrow with my own group. I don't have a band to call my own at the moment, but I have people I call for such an occasion. And I'm not in anybody's band, but I help out on Ocean State gigs  when they need me.

This has been a busy month. Started off with one  on the 15th and ended up with four gigs. These next two should be considerably easier than last Friday. More familiar territory, at any rate.

May 6th is the last thing I've got on the books. After this one, I plan to take at least a couple weeks off. Recharge the batteries, work on stuff here in the Lab. The nice crowd we got on the 15th gave me a reason to keep my hand in there as far as playing out. So I'll be back with something, maybe even another guitar duo. Boy, those are fun!

My YouTube page is alive and well, and I'm again able to upload my jam tapes, with various virtual rhythm sections. Here is where you want to go to hear some of my recordings. Some are group CDs and some are solo projects. Being YouTube, they're just streams, but you can download various stuff from my website if you want to.

And that's the scoop for now. On to the next phase of my morning, which is Lumosity and Wordle- and more coffee. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Thursday to you! For now, I'm outa here. More later.

PS Today's pic was taken at the Hoogland Center. A truncated Ocean State, with Mark Russillo, Lou Humphrey and myself. Missing the bass player, but still on it.
