Tres Amigos

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kYeiXZatzNiOZU5-AXwEiFAJcK1GoRdfE It's here! My new album. Jazz Guitar Vol 5. It's unlike many of my current albums in that I play my own bass. As opposed the usual left-hand synth bass. So there are bass solos in here, and on just about every tune. I like being my own bass player.

Jazz Guitar Vol 5 is now available at the usual digital places: Apple, Deezer, etc. You can download the whole thing-or any individual tracks. Hope you'll check it out.

In other music news, I have a gig this weekend. With Ocean State at All About Wine. Sunday from 3 to 6. We're getting back to those perfect gig hours. Back before COVID, I had a nice little niche with mid-afternoon Assisted Living Center gigs. Just early enough, and just late enough.

I had a nice in-house session earlier this week. 2 guitars, harmonica/vocals and percussion. By in-house, I mean in someone's living room. The material was stuff I don't usually play--a number of Rolling Stones tunes--but the fun was as much in the pure getting-together, the fellowship, as anything. I still play out occasionally, , but I kinda favor playing in

And as far as the material, I'm much more of a Beatles fan, but I'm still partial to the Stones. I kissed a girl for the first time--age 12 or so--while a Rolling Stones song was playing. Don't remember the name of the song, but the lyrics had the line a million miles away. So there's that…

So that's what I've got for you for the moment. .An upcoming gig, and a new album. The link at the top of this blog will take you to a YouTube page where you can listen to the selections. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. See you on Sunday at All About Wine. In the meantime, ich bin outa here. More later. PS the cover pic is me, Gordon Cahvallo and Mark Russillo. Two of the people I had my session with this week.
