Good morning! 9:19 and 65 degrees at the moment. Much cooler than we've had it. The two animals who occupy this house--at least the two I know of--are most grateful. Cindy has been giving me her plaintive meow, which either means pet me or it's too damn hot. I actually put my fan on the floor and pointing in her direction to give her some relief.
Music news. I have a new album ready to go, but I still don't know what to call it. This new one is a mix between smooth jazz and fusion, with a couple of my quirky electronic pieces thrown in for good measure. Coming soon--just as soon as it has a name.
It looks like we've got a nice stretch of cooler days ahead. This makes it much easier to be creative here in the Music Lab. Hopefully I'll have some new music to share as a result of this.
Skimpy news today. But I may well have some more guitar jams to share on YouTube. Like I said, much easier to get something going in here when the temperature is right.
The only other item I had may or may not be newsworthy, but it felt significant. I experienced a random act of kindness this past Saturday. Trying to get to my usual auto repair place which is at 5th and Stanford, and finding the roads blocked at every turn. Finally took the long way, from MacArthur, and had to get turned around to get there. Pissed someone off in the process, which just adds to your stress, being honked at and all..
It was a long wait just to get my vehicle in there, as they were backed up about three cars deep. Also, sweltering heat. 
Once in, I had to stay in my vehicle. Good old COVID.. They took care of the basics, but didn't really answer my question about it being road-worthy. So I'm waiting to get back onto Stanford, and suddenly one car stops. This is a busy street, so it was unusual to see. A second later I realized that they were being nice. Waved to them and pulled out onto the street, heading home.
What made that feel significant was that it was a busy street. You don't just come to a stop without someone running right into your ass. Whether it was a random act or an ordered one, it made my day a lot better..
