Good morning, whoever-reads-this! Currently 10:12 and 64 degrees. Another wet n' unwild day ahead. This is my last slothful day of the week. Tomorrow we rehearse for Friday's gig; Thursday is a trip to the Dentist; and Friday is showtime.
Music news. I'm working this Friday at Boone's, from 5:30 to 7:30. Rob Killam and Dave Pruitt will be joining me. Jazz standards and a few originals. I'll have CDs on hand if anybody wants to buy one- and they always go half-price at gigs. We also have a good possibility of a few folks sitting in during the second set. Hope to see you there!
Coming to the end of another nice busy patch. I played on April 7th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and now May 6th. Trying to keep my hand in there as far as the music scene, but also remembering to be kind to myself and exheunt when I need to.
So I'm going to have me some fun on Friday, but am really looking forward to May 7th. Peace and quiet for awhile. Once I catch my breath, in a month or so, I'll be ready to go back out. And on it goes..
In the meantime, my YouTube page is alive and well. Got myself a new cheapie Canon Powershot, and have been making music videos out the wazoo. And I'll probably mosey over to the other side of the room where my makeshift recording studio is located.
And now it's time for the Cognitive Skills part of the morning. Lumosity and Wordle. I have a natural affinity for this nerd stuff, but it's also necessary as you get older, to work those aging neurons. I have enough senior moments as it is..
