Good morning! 9:09 and 71 degrees at the moment. Looks like a nice day today. Then again, this is central Illinois, where the weather seems to change every 15 minutes. Well, some days..
Today should be a pretty good day here in the Lab. I've had a couple social days in a row, so I probably need to recharge. Sunday was a gig, and yesterday was a dinner. One of my cousins, whom I hadn't seen in ages. A nice long conversation. I told her I'd saved my last shred of sociability for our dinner, and would probably hole up the next day.
Oh, and Saputo's is still a great place to eat. No surprises there.
Music news. I have a new album, due to release on Thursday. It's called Souvenirs, and is a mix of Smooth Jazz and Fusion. Lots of guitar and keyboard work, and what I like to think are some nice tunes in there. So it'll be up on YouTube for streaming, and all the other places for downloading anything.
Most of my albums these days are downloads. The option to make a CD is always there, so if there were a demand for a particular recording of mine, I could do it without a lot of fuss. But it's nice not to have more boxes of CDs laying around. This is not a big place, so I appreciate all the space I can get.
I gave away a few of my CDs on Sunday to a few friends who came down. I was hesitant to bring too many, because it wasn't my gig, but I got the green light from Mark. So the next time I sub with them, I'll have some more CDs with me.
It's nice to make some of my money back, but I just like sharing the music. So I do give a few away..
