Wednesday

Good evening! 8:24 and 76 degrees at the moment. This is normally a morning activity, with the coffee. 8:30 isn't the end of the day, but it's getting there. I can remember when 8:30 at night was when things got started.

I've written more than a few blogs after putting away a Corona or several, but this is my evening beverage anymore. I even take a bottle with me when I play gigs, since I don't drink beer or wine and don't care for soda pop. So it's something of a trademark with me, the red beverage. Also in the picture is my favorite guitar pick, both in shape and color. I like the feel, and the color makes them easy to find if you drop them on the floor.

So the red beverage and the orange pick are two of my accoutrements as a musician, in some ways just as important as the guitar and amp.

Music news. I have a gig this Sunday! It's at All About Wine, from 3 to 6, with Ocean State. Mark Russillo on vocals and harmonica; Ben Taylor on bass; Jaro Howse on drums; me on guitar. With my red beverage and orange picks. Jazz standards and Latin. Hope to see you there!

The last thing I did was back in May, at Boone's with Rob Killam and Dave Pruitt. Hopefully I can bring that group back at some point in the not-too-distant future. I've been doing fine working from home here in the Lab- and am just plain enjoying being retired- but I have missed  working with other folks. So Sunday will scratch that itch for me. And hopefully also be something that's cool to listen to.

Well I guess that's all I've got for you for now. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Wednesday night to you! For now, I'm outa here. More later.
