Good ,morning! 10:23 and 78 degrees are our current stats. Another perfect Summer day. Plowing through my morning routine. I've checked Facebook for any messages or birthdays, played Wordle, uploaded something new to my YouTube page, and am now in the midst of writing this drivel. And playing Lumosity.
Music news. A busy time here in the Lab. Still putting in time on the guitar. I usually tape something, and have been getting more stuff that works. Always a good sign. I've been favoring the yellow "surf guitar" these days- my Takamine electric. I love all my guitars--I'm a polygamist in this sense--but I have my periods where I favor one instrument over the others.
Much to share in the way of videos. I go through periods where nothing works, and others where just about everything falls into place. The fluctuations are necessary to the process-- like hills and valleys--, but I like it a lot better when everything works.. More hills. So, more stuff coming your way.
As far as any new recordings, I've got a few things that are starting to take shape. This is a slow process. My albums seem to go through a long incubation period before they come together. But I've got a few new things in the works.
And as far as making music with other humans, this too is in the works. Looking forward to getting back together with Rob and Dave. I've been learning a few new tunes lately, so we can add to our repertoire. One thing I strive for in my groups is playing different tunes, things you don't hear all the time. We don't do the old war-horse standards unless they're requested. And even there, money helps..
