Thursday

Good morning! It's 8:50 this side of noon. A dark and rainy day out there. Edgar Allan Poe weather. Then again, we've had more than a few dark days that completely changed their tune.

Music news. Yesterday was a very productive day here in Samland. Got my "mandatory" old guy  exercise session in, first of two for the week, and had a great day in the Music Lab. Not only wrote a new thing or two, but I remixed all my latest efforts onto a CD. 5 new tunes, 3 of them involving the guitar. I'll be adding those to the Music page of my site sometime today, and maybe to Facebook.. More 'normal' stuff than I've been sharing, but one of the pieces is pretty weird. I'm still me....

My new album, Near-Miracle on 33rd Street, should be available in a couple weeks, both as a download and physical CD. I think this will do me for the year. 2020 has been one of the worst years I can remember having- and I've had 66 of 'em. But it's been the most productive. Six new releases just this year. That's a record, even for me.

As far as my CD  output in these retired years  I thought it'd be a deluge, but not so.  One in 2013, one in 2015, three in 2018, and one at the tail end of last year. And then the fit hit the shan, so to speak. Six new albums in 2020, with enough left-over material for at least another two. One of these is titled 12 Twisted Tales of 2020- some of my most bizarre creations. Sometimes the worst brings out your best...

So that's what's up for the moment. Still blissfully working away here in the Music Lab. But I'm not in a bubble here. I'm watching the news- sometimes in horror, but I'm watching. And I've already cast my vote. The relations between the two parties are more contentious than ever. They might as well be street gangs- and yes I'm thinking Bloods and Crips. But I went Blue. Too much yellow mixed in with the Red, if you catch my drift.

And that's more than you'll probably ever hear me talk about politics in here. I really try to keep this page refreshingly bereft of such matters. Well anyway, we're at that time once again. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Thursday to you! For now, I'm outa here. More later.

PS Today's pic goes back to 2008, from a photo session at Ed Clark's studio. Ed is a wonderful photographer in addition to his piano playing. We're probably due for another photo session.
