Saturday

Good morning! It's 9:33 in the a.m., another beautiful day on tap. And tonight is Halloween. I used to love Halloween as a kid, and as a younger adult taking kids on their first such adventure. The magic has been gone for some time now, but Halloween is really lost to me this year. As far as I'm concerned, it's been Halloween since March 13th.

Music news. No new CDs in the last 24 hours. That was supposed to be a joke. Boy, tough room! Got some pretty good practice in on the guitar though,  and even taped a few things. Haven't listened back as yet, but anything that works I share. That's the routine..

And speaking of YouTube(well actually, I was just alluding to it), I have other channels on there besides the artist page. Type in "Sam Crain topic" and a number of sites will pop up. Pretty much everything from my various CDs is on there. CD Baby, the company through which I've been selling my wares, does this for you. Not sure I'm getting paid for all that, but I guess it's still a nice gesture.

It turns out I've got a "doppelganger' out there in CD Land. Samantha Crain. She's from Oklahoma, and is more a singer/songwriter type. Much more successful than her male counterpart. Thousands of followers. We've never met online, but we have intersected.

What the hell. I'm happy with my 102 subscribers on YouTube and my 131 followers on Spotify. Naturally, I'd like those numbers to be higher, but I'm thankful for what I've got.

A skimpy post today. Tough coming up with blockbuster news day after day, especially working from home. But I work at it every day, so there's usually something to share. I'll try and post some more stuff to FB today.

Okay, thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Saturday to you! For now, I'm outa here. More later.      PS Today's picture dates back to 1985. Wendover, Nevada, right on the border with Utah. We were the second band on the marquee. I referred to the place as Goomerville, as it was filled with what Granny Clampett might've called goomers-as in "who's them Goomers, Jed?!"
