Good morning! 9:41 and 21 degrees on this Winter Monday. Boy if that isn't a double-whammy, I don't know what is. I am now nine years into retirement, and Monday Blues is a distant memory. . My Mondays are nice and quiet in retirement, almost like a second Sunday. But Winter still sucks...
Music news. Another guitar session today with José Gobbo. This will make our third get-together. We have a gig coming up on the 20th at the 3sixteen Wine Bar in Chatham. We'll probably get another session in this week, and one more next week before the show.
I just might try some taping today, and include whatever works on my YouTube page. José has a YouTube page as well, and taped much of our last session. Gotta ask today whether he's gonna post any of it. HIs page is much more balanced than mine, with more group posts- as well as a ton of solo things.
My page is predominantly guitar jams with playalongs, although I do have a small number of things from various gigs, and some guitar/bass duos. In other words, my page is in dire need of some other folks in there. So we'll see what shakes today...
As far as working here in the Lab, I'm just about caught up with myself as far as material. A new album to be released on the 16th of this month. It's called Sonorities, and is a sort of smooth/fusion mix. Lots of guitar and keyboard work, and i even play bass on a couple of the selections. You can stream it from the My Wares page here on my site.
Here is where you can listen to a wide variety of stuff. Both solo and group projects. Hope everyone reading this will stop in and have a look around. As they used to say outside the strip clubs in Baltimore, don't cost nothin' to check it out..
