Good morning! Just after 9 on this hazy Friday. Nursing that first cup of coffee of the day and enjoying the quiet. Glad I stuck it out all those years, working at the unemployment office. From all the shit I took all those years(sometimes from the staff) I have a modest dwelling in a nice lower-middle-class neighborhood in the middle of town. Dicey around the edges but cool as far as my immediate neighbors, whom I've known now for over 20 years. Muy simpatico. And I make just enough to get the bills paid with a little bit left over for the important stuff- like guitars or cannabis.. Feeling thankful.
Music news. A fair rendition of Jobim's Wave--pronounced, in some circles, as WAH-vey--to put up on YouTube and then share with you guys on Facebook. I'm still putting in some time every day on the gitbox, and taping a few things every time. With the stuff I share, it has more to do with the feel, or groove than having every note perfectly in place. If it doesn't feel right, I wince a little bit, and then delete it, but it's still a learning experience. Anyway, still at it.
I'm having a little bit better luck with Spotify and Bandcamp these days. Actually made $14 through Bandcamp, but it has to go through PayPal so I've yet to be paid. I'd like to put some of my friends on there as far as playlists. It's a new game, all this new terminology, but one I'm in the process of learning.
