Merry Christmas! It's 8:45 on this sunny Friday, a balmy 7 degrees. Note to self: fill the cat's food dish before going to bed. She tried to get me up several times, first in the middle of the night. Didn't quite get my seven hours in. More like six and change. But enough to fuel me with a little help from the coffee pot. Merry f'ing Christmas!
The only music news I have is forthcoming. These days, at the ripe old age of 66, I often forget why I walked into the room(or what I was writing about!)but I still remember Mel Torme's great tune The Christmas Song. And I plan on recording it and sharing it sometime later today. It's another one of those songs you don't think about for eleven months- but come December, and Christmas, and it's one of the first that comes to mind. I'll be Home for Christmas is another. I'm still a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music, but there are a few notable exceptions, noted here. Just keep those Chipmunks away from me, and we'll be fine.
And that's my news for now. I figure by the time Christmas rolls around again, we'll be back to some kind of normal.. In the meantime, continuing to do my thing from here in the Music Lab, and sharing when I get a winner. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading, and listening. I really appreciate it.
