Good morning! About half past nine on this more-cloudy-than-sunny Friday. But at least it's the end of another workweek. There was a guy I worked with for the State, who would say another week closer to retirement every single Friday as he signed out. I myself was more taken with Yabba Dabba Doo as a parting remark. MIght've been more appropriate for him though, since he actually resembled Barney Rubble...
Music news. Back to working in the Music Lab, coming up with some new soundz. My recording unit, a Fostex 16-track, is starting to poop out. Channel 8, and frequently 7, is a weak-to-nonexistent signal. Fortunately I still have plenty of tracks to work with, but am seeing the beginning of the end for this machine. Had it since 2002, so it's lived a long and productive life.
I'm not putting out any new CDs for awhile. Since I retired, there's been one in 2014, one in 2015, three in 2018, one in 2019, six in 2020, and four this year. That's plenty, at least for now. But I am coming up with some new stuff that will eventually find its way onto a CD or two.
I still have a DVD stuck in my computer, so that's preventing me from sharing any of my newest stuff. Sooner or later I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to the shop for repairs. Hyperion is my usual place.
And that's all I've got for you for now. I am able to post YouTube videos, so I'll try to keep those going. Still getting new subscribers here and there, now up to a whopping 122. Every little bit helps...
