Good morning! It's the same time of day as yesterday's blog, and the same weather. If you're going to have a Groundhog Day experience, it helps if it's actually a nice day you're doomed to repeat.
Music news. I have four new things to share, from a session a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine, who used to be a guitar student, has discovered the joys of home recording.( I now refer to him as a "fellow addict"). So I helped with this by adding a couple guitar tracks here and there.
Unfortunately, my computer doesn't recognize the files. Tried to upload to a number of sites, and no soap with any of them. So what I have to do is record them to disc, and then upload the disc to the computer. When the computer is uploading, it gives you the option to pick your format- usually WAV or MP3.
So that's one of today's tasks. I'm not what you'd call a tech-savvy individual, but I know a few tricks..
Today should be a good music day here at Sam Central. Hope to have some more guitar stuff to share with you. Looking forward to my Artist-on-the-Plaza gig at the end of August. It's always a good time, and a chance to see folks I haven't seen in awhile.
I'm getting pretty settled as far as retired life. At the end of this month, it'll be eight years. The spare time I was so afraid of eight years ago I now embrace. It's now much tougher getting me out of the house. But I still want to share my music, so I'll continue to make appearances here and there. And I've always got something up my sleeve in the way of recordings.
