Good morning! It's Tuesday, and my computer is telling me it's also 9:47 and 82 degrees. Remembering a query by one of our clients at the unemployment office. Will this computer tell my why I got fired?
This was second-hand information. If the client had asked me that question, I'm not sure how I'd respond. I've maintained a straight face through remarks that were just as paralyzingly stupid, so I wouldn't be afraid of bursting into laughter. Possible responses:
Is this computer your boss?
It may not tell you why you got fired, but it might tell me.
But I digress. I had a post all ready to go yesterday, and just clicked the wrong button trying to add a picture. I've lost posts before at the click of a button. It pisses you off. Just never got back to it yesterday.
July 5th is National Bikini Day. The bikini was first introduced in France, in I believe 1946. Just a year prior to this, the American military detonated two bombs in the Bikini Atoll, which is part of the Marshall Islands, a US territory.
An Atoll is a ring-shaped coral reef either partially or completely surrounding a lagoon. Atolls were originally volcanic islands. The islands themselves disappeared over geologic time.
Music stuff. About time, right? Still messing with my Ibanez Strat, the copper-colored guitar I featured on my last post. I've got a couple of YouTube videos using it, with more to come. It has a few string buzzes, so it needs fixin' before I use it on a gig.
Hoping to get in some home recording in this week. My Muse has yet to pay me a visit, but She still has a few days. So far just a bunch of guitar videos. I'll be bringing those to you as we go here.
I guess I had more blarney than anything to share today. My music news may be skimpy at times, but I'm still in there pitching. Still practicing, trying to get better.
