Friday

Good morning! It's 8:43 and a balmy 54 degrees. Not much else you can say about the day out there. Dark and foreboding. These cloudy days are Kryptonite to retired people-at least this retired person!

Thinking of an Alan Alda line from M*A*S*H, delivered to some young, impressionable Nurse he had his eye on. "Yeah, I really hated to leave my parents back on Krypton." Watching an old reunion special, Alda seems like he's a nice guy in real life. But he does love to preach, not unlike his character. He loves to make the grand remark that ties everything together.

Music news. A jam session, tentatively scheduled for this coming Tuesday. Harmonica, guitar and percussion. Should be fun. I'm gonna try and tape a few things, and my policy remains: anything salvageable I share.

My newest album is a thing called Homebody Guitar, which is an eclectic mix of jazz and funk and even pop music. Meant to be catchy but not cheesy..

Good old CD Baby sends your stuff out into the world, and this one is available on all the major platforms, including YouTube. They screwed up one of the tunes though. One of them got duplicated. It's called Mirage. There should be a cut called Q and A, but it's also Mirage.

Why is my life so much harder than everybody else's?

That was the lament running through the movie Roadie.  Meatloaf was in the title role. Some days I can relate..

At the moment, I'm working with a lot of backlog here in the Lab, trying to get it all into neat little piles so I can get the shit off my desk. I have a high threshold of clutter, but not on my damn desk. So, much more music to come. Just as soon as I can get a handle on it.

And still plugging away on the guitar. That's my news for now. Thanks for stopping in and reading. I do appreciate it! Happy Friday to you, rain or not! Hey, at least it's Friday. For now, ich bin outa this place. More later.

PS today's pic is the threesome I'm going to be doing next Tuesday. From left to right: me, Lou Humphrey, Mark Russillo.
