Good morning! 9:20 and 29 degrees from where I'm sitting. We have three mild Winter days and then a cold one. As long as I can get a door open on my van, I can get in there and heat things up for the trek to Chatham.
That's my Big Event of the week. 6 to 9 at the 3sixteen Wine Bar. José Gobbo and myself. Kinda wondering how we're going to fill three hours, bur I think that will take care of itself once we start playing. Also wondering how many hardy souls will make it out to see us on such a cold night.

Winter started off with a bang for me, with that January 7th gig at Boone's. In retrospect, this is actually a better way to get into Winter. Meet it head-on. Ironic that I wanted to bypass Winter altogether, and finding myself working on the two coldest days of the month.
After Thursday, I plan on working here in the Lab. I've got a few new ideas to explore. Still got my trusty Fostex recorder I bought back in 2002 or so, and my Line 6 Guitar Processor, plus a synthesizer with all manner of sounds. Hopefully I'll have even more music to share..
In a couple hours, José and I will be getting together for the last time before our gig. I hope we keep doing these sessions. They're a lot of fun, and a nice challenge for me.
That's all I've got for the moment. Thinking of changing some things around in this new year. Upgrading my recording equipment to something like Pro Tools or Reason, and doing it all from the computer. And there are apparently other places besides CD Baby that distribute your music without taking a cut. Distrokid is one such company. Investigating..
