Good morning! It's 8:59 and 23 degrees at the moment. Not the best of times, but not the worst of times either. As Winters go, this one is right in the middle. Then again, we haven't seen February yet..
Music news. Binge time! I'm in studio mode here in the Lab. Four new pieces thus far, with more sonic mischief on the way. Home recording is very much like water painting, and contains the same pitfall: ending up with mud. So I'm careful to leave some transparency.
Funny that in this case, transparency means just that. Well I guess the music is honest as well...
I'm looking forward to more such fun, of course, a bit later in the day. More morning rituals to get through first.
Sooner or later, i'll be sharing at least some of this with you guys. But I like to get a pretty good litter before I take the time to remix. This is a whole 'nother process, not quite as much fun as the creation but not without its pleasures. So I'll get a good eight or nine things- if indeed my Muse sticks around that long- before I unleash this stuff on the world..
I can tell when she's coming, and I can tell when she's getting ready to exheunt. Today feels like she's settling in. I guess I could keep going with this anthropomorphosis and say she's now raiding my refrigerator. But however you want to characterize her, she's here. Or it, if you prefer.
Okay, I used a fancy word. So shoot me. if you didn't know it, to anthropomorphize is to ascribe human characteristics to something that's not human. The image of God as an old white guy with a beard is a good example. So are the talking appliances on The Flintstones.
i picture my Muse as a sort of hippie chick/Earth Mother type, complete with beads. But however I see her, she's here to help me get into what I'm hoping is some serious trouble today.
