Good morning! It's 9:20 and 41 degrees at the moment. Another cloudy day. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration day, but I'm a day late--and at least a dollar short. My social calendar was actually double-booked yesterday, something that hasn't happened in at least a decade.
Music news. I still have yet to replace my old worn-out digital camera, so I haven't been able to make anything new in the way of YouTube videos, but I still have a ton of them saved. Hopefully in this next week, I'll get that going.
My guitar practicing is better without it though. I've been getting back down to the nitty-gritty: scales and arpeggios and grueling picking exercises, stuff that had fallen by the wayside with the distraction of the camera. No matter how long you've been playing, it's necessary at least every so often to get back to fundamentals.
I did have a mini-binge this past week in the Lab. Six new creations. Two of these are pretty good. One of them is already up on the Music page, right at the top. It's called Impromptu for Guitars and Beets.
This is still the place to go to listen. Most of my stuff is up there. The Music page of my site is another, and there you can download a few things if that grabs you. Otherwise, all my recorded stuff is on one streaming platform or another. You gotta love the new terminology...
A skimpy post today, but sometimes you just have skimpy news. In my retirement I try to be drama-free as well as sugar-free. Most of us old folks have to watch our sugar, but I also try and keep my drama levels down to a healthy low.
