Almost 70

No getting around it. Tomorrow, technically at 8:57 pm, Central Standard Time, I'll have been here for 70 years. Yeesh. Another milestone. A big avenue to cross after all the side-streets.

I'm sure it will have much to teach me down the road, but so far, 70 just feels like a slightly shittier version of 60. A few things start to go haywire, just enough to get your attention.

Music news. Just a little more activity in this department. A gig last Friday, at the 7th Street Condominiums, a private affair for the residents. And one coming up November 1st, to which I can invite people. So if you're reading this you're invited to Boone's. It's 5:30 to 7:30 and will feature Ben Taylor on bass and Buddy Rogers on saxes, plus my antics on guitar. I anticipate a fun time with these two. Hope to see you there!

Still kickin' it from the home setting, as far as making music videos. My digital camera is mostly not working these days. I get one 3 or 4 minute video, and then virtually nothing. So I've been rolling with this, partly out of pure laziness, and partly because I can still get a salvageable--and shorter duration--video out of it. But I still want to control the length, even though I may cut close to what this failing camera is giving me.

So it's still going. I still practice pretty much every day, getting in at least the calisthenics. Not much else to report. Just getting older. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Much love.
