Greetings, whoever-reads-this! The teeth you're looking at here used to be in my mouth. A bacon and cheese sandwich dislodged them: some carelessness, a crack, and then I was holding my teeth in my hand along with the sandwich.. No pain, just annoyance. I finished my sandwich, and even went back to have another one just out of spite..
My Dentist has been talking to me for years about that faulty bridgework. My response was always if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But they finally talked me into it. And we'd made arrangements to have it removed. Life just saved us that particular step along the way. So I go in on Friday and we take it from there.
It'll be nice to have all this in the rear-view mirror, with a full set of choppers and the ability to eat most anything. For the moment, I'm hanging in there with all this ventilation where teeth should be. Creative chewing..
Music News. I have another gig coming up. Friday, September 13, from 7 to 9 at The Pharmacy Gallery and Artspace, or whatever they're calling it. Cool place with some amazing artwork for your perusal. Mark Russillo on harmonica and vocals; Charles Davis on bass; Jaro Howse on drums; me on guitar. I worked with these guys a couple weeks ago at the 7th Street High-Rise apartments. We had a nice time playing together. Jazz and Latin. Hope to see you there!
I'll probably still be in the midst of all this Dental stuff, and may do the mask thing. Or just be careful not to break into anything beyond a grin.
I'm still practicing most every day, and watering my YouTube page with a new tune every week. 508 subscribers at this point. Sometimes they write to me. I love getting mail, and am always quick to respond. What I really need is a new digital camera. The one I have won't record past a couple minutes, then it shuts off. Time for a new machine.
Having that camera that shuts off has been kind of a coitus interruptus as far as the creative process. Whether it's sex or guitar playing, it's always better if you can finish…
That's most of the stuff that's fit to print. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading! Much love.
