Life, continued

Greetings, whoever-reads-this! Another hot humid day here in Para-dice.

Domestic news.  I have a new Doctor. My first meeting was a week ago. He was very concerned about a few things, and ran a chest X-ray as well as the usual bloodwork.  Just got the results today, after a couple rounds of phone-tag. Some anemia. I expected a lot worse.

Relief is a wonderful thing. I don't mind telling you I was a little bit scared to take that phone call today.

But I have skinnied up during my retirement, and am actually leaner than I'd like to be.  If I'd been the Doctor, I probably would've had a shitfit myself... Working on putting a couple pounds back on- but more importantly, trying to keep with the regular physical exercise. I've got an exercise regimen that takes just under an hour and ravages the whole body. A combination of weight training and Isometrics.

Music news. I have two gigs coming up. One is on September 13th, 7 to 9,  at The Pharmacy; and the other is on November 1st, from 5:30 -7:30, at Boone's.

Most of my musicmaking is done here in the Lab these days, but I still get out of the house now and then. Ocean State, the band I played in for a couple years in there, needs a sub from time to time. And it works out that it's about as often as I need it to be.

As far as recordings, I have one ready to release. Just gotta come up with a title and cover. It's been sitting around awhile, but at least it doesn't spoil from sitting too long. Not a perishable item.. I hope to get back into Recording Mode again sometime soon.

And I'm still in there with the practicing. I try for every day, and at least run the calisthenics. Scales and arpeggios in all 12 keys, and whatever else crosses my mind. And I still goof with the playalong recordings online, and post to my YouTube page.

So that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. Thanks as ever for stopping in and wading through all this. Much love.
