Cheese Deficit

Greetings, whoever-reads-this! And let me reassure you that there is no serious shortage of cheese here at Crain Manor as far as cheese per se.  I've got String Cheese, Colby Jack(my favorite!)mixed with Cheddar, and finally block cheese.

As well as a fondness for pseudo-important blog titles like this one, I really do like my cheese. But I am starting to  run low on Colby Jack, which will soon constitute a--gotta say it: Cheese Deficit.

There is a real paradigm shift in getting older. Actually, getting older is a series of such shifts. If you're a musician, your gigs start to dwindle and  Doctor/Dentist visits begin to take their place.. This year, I've played 4 gigs, and have had 12 Doctor or Dentist appointments- with two more next month!

At the moment, I have a nice break from All That. 3 whole weeks with no appointments. At the moment, it's a great feeling- as is always the case when freedom follows restraint. . Three weeks from now, I might just feel like I need a little structure, but for the time being, I'm on “vacation”.

It's not just the surge in medical appointments that's got me worn out.  I'm coming down from the Election as well. Much was riding on this one--speaking of paradigms--and I'm sorry to see things turn out as they did. Not surprised though.

All I'll say about it is that I think they should make Mar-a-Lago an Autonomous Territory and just let him be Grand Poobah right from there, on his own domain. Of course, perhaps unbeknownst to him, that would be all he'd be in charge of. Considering his cognitive decline, I don't think he'd know the difference- at least after awhile…

Strange times, indeed. Wish I had more musical news to share. Hopefully these next weeks will yield some nice results.  In the meantime, I'm still practicing most every day and making music videos- and still sharing on my YouTube page. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Much love! More later.
