Friday

Greetings, whoever-reads-this!

Sorry I haven't put pen to paper in awhile as far as blogging, but sometimes life gets in the way. So let me get you caught up:

Domestic news. Once you hit a certain age, which can vary greatly from individual to individual but still happens nonetheless,  you suddenly  find yourself in this brand new new part-time job. A sea of Doctor appointments and Pharmacy runs, either for your own health, or somebody else's.

In my case, it's my brother. I've been helping him out for a good while now. He's got some health issues which have worsened over the past couple years, rendering him increasingly less capable of handling his own stuff. So I've stepped in more and more as needed.

At this point, he's in a Rehab Facility, and I've just now taken over his affairs. Against my natural grain, I hit the ground running this morning- I am a guy who likes his Coffee Time before having to do anything- but am pretty sure I've got everything covered.

So yeah, this was a rare Carpe Diem day. I got six errands run today, four of which had to do with my brother. When he was more ambulatory, he and I would do our Pharmacy runs together. I was there today getting one of my own prescriptions filled and they asked about my “better half”. They also know us at Bernie n' Betty's and The Sunrise Cafe. We may be old, but we still got around.

But today I was on my own, fixing past present and future. The first person on my list today was the Landlord, to whom I paid a pretty good chunk of change. So we're in good stead there.

He's still got his apartment, for whenever they cut him loose from the Nursing Home. And he also has an option to stay there as long as he needs to. This shit is finally coming together.

Music news. The guitar is still getting more-or-less daily attention, and the YouTube page still gets more-or-less weekly posts. And I still have a weekly jam session to get to. Still on it. Sooner or later, I'm gonna make a comeback of some kind. That's the plan, at any rate. As always, thanks for stopping in and reading. Much love to you! More later.
