I Had an Actual Gig, but..

Greetings, whoever-reads-this!.

I had a gig I took, somewhat reluctantly but accepted nonetheless. It was at a Church in Lincoln IL. I turned it down at first, but the guy kept pushing, so I relented. I figured it'd be my good deed for the day.

Last night around bedtime, the A/C went out. The perfect monkey-wrench in my plans. Got up ungodly early, around 6, and called my AC guys. Informed the Church that I'd probably have to cancel. He kept pushing about tomorrow's date and I ended up cancelling the whole thing.

And I had psyched myself up for it. It was the pushing that got to me. I guess I've got enough people pushing me at the moment. It just felt like the proverbial one-too-many.' And we all have that point. It varies, but it's still there.

.The A/C is now fixed. I could still get in my vehicle and drive to Lincoln. But I don't think I'm going to. The lesson for today is in knowing your limitations. I've got more than enough stressors at the moment. Not taking on any new ones.. Not until I'm ready.

So this is a day that started badly, and is at least making the effort to improve. I am getting in more playing these days, and even have a guitar to add back into the rotation: my Ibanez Classical Electric. .

Well thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Much love to you! More later.
