Greetings, whoever-reads-this! I don't know if people read my blogs, but I know they check in here on the site.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I usually spend it with a group of friends. Good conversation, terrific food, good music. Our host is very meticulous as far as the schedule. Always the social time at 2 and the meal at 4. And always a surplus of food, so there's always a doggie bag to take with me.
I've had a few solo Thanksgivings, and quite a few growing up where we had a big gathering. The solo times were sometimes lonely and the big family meals a bit chaotic. The ideal for me is just a handful of folks, which has been the case for a good number of years.
This has been a crazy year for me, with my brother's passing and all. A nice meal and get-together tomorrow will hit the spot. Then we have a nice Friday before it snows like hell. Another Winter to get through. That's the only downside to Thanksgiving, that it's the time of year when the weather starts to suck.
On the plus side, I've gotten back into practicing. Even doing multiple sessions in a day. Chops are returning. More to come on the YouTube page, which is approaching another milestone with 696 subscribers at the moment.
