Friday

Greetings, whoever-reads-this! This is a day of unrelenting snow, but with the temperature keeping at around 30 degrees, it's much less oppressive than would be the case in, say, single digits. I dug out a path to my front door, and got my vehicle positioned so it would have some traction when I try to get out of here.

Shoveling snow is one of the more onerous tasks here at Crain Manor, along with raking leaves. Those are the pain-in-the-ass duties I have to perform for part of the year. To put it mildly, I don't enjoy them.  But I do like mowing and hedge-trimming. Warm weather tasks. So roughly 9 months out of the year, I'm doing just fine.

I picked up a nice battery-powered mower sometime last year, which not only does the trick but folds up neater than the old push-mowers. And since it doesn't use gasoline, it doesn't have that gasoline smell. I'm already looking forward to mowing again…

Music news. I finally got up off some dinero and ordered myself a new digital camera. My tried-and-true camera is a Canon Powershot. Nothing fancy, but it does the job as far as music files and uploading them to the computer. At least while they're working.

But they do eventually wear out. This is my third replacement. They're available, but Canon doesn't make 'em anymore, so these merchants have jacked up the price. But I found a used one for a reasonable amount of geetus. So with this new acquisition, I should be able to get back to making music videos again.

I've been treading water as far as my YouTube page. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjVSsUMZ_YLwlMYVjeKx7pQ?view_as=subscriber YouTube page. . Going back to the “archives”- stuff I've done earlier in the year, when the camera was still working. The phone is still an option, and enables me to make longer videos, but the audio quality leaves something to be desired. Looking forward to getting back in the saddle

Well that's about all the news I could dredge up here in the dead of Winter. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Much love. More later.
