Toozday

Good morning! Just this side of nine o'clock. Another winner out there. My cat is listening to the birds outside and probably imagining a Bird Sandwich of some kind. Mmm good...

Music news. Three new pieces, all featuring  guitar. They're uploaded to the computer, but not yet up here. I've been concentrating more on keyboard these days,  mainly because it's easier as far as setup. Just turn it on and go. With the guitar, I have to unplug everything and plug it back into a different unit(Whew!). A minor hassle but a major one if' you're as lazy as I am. Anyway, something new for your possible listening pleasure.

I feel like I've reached a turning point with my music. A lot of the magoo seems to be out of my system, as far as my "crazier" side  at least for the moment. I have two CDs worth of it, which I'll release down the road. If you're curious, most of my newer  stuff--weird or not--is on the Music page, with the newest entries at the top of the page.

The next recording you'll see outa me is a collection of jazz originals. A few of the tunes were done trio-style on my CD Rose of Loami, back in 2001,  so it's nice to get a different take on them with keyboards added in. Two days from now, I'll have the whole thing remixed and balanced and all that good stuff.. From there, it's a quick trip to CD Baby to put all the information in, and we're in bizniz!

And this new one will be in CD format, so I'll have it to sell on gigs--whenever that may be. Also, I like to write liner notes- and in so doing, add some shouts in there to various folks who've been cool. I've done so many download-only recordings these days, I almost forgot about the fine art of liner notes..

Well that about wraps it up as far as my current doings. Still practicing most every day, and posting to YouTube. Thanks as ever for stopping in and reading. Happy Tuesday to you! I'm outa here. More later.

PS The tune for today is Wokin' the Dog, composed by GG Pelletier, from my album Oop Bop Sh' Bang. GG, saxophone; me, guitar; Andy Burtschi, bass; Craig Russo, drums.
